Designed as a standard range refractometer for primary use in industrial environments
where the refractometer is operated on the factory floor. As with all Rudolph refractometers, the
artificial sapphire prism provides lower total cost of ownership by eliminating the
need for prism replacement associated with the traditional Abbe refractometer when used
in high throughput applications.

Application Specific

Designed specifically for measuring materials to be used in the Optical Waveguide Lightmode
Spectroscopy (OWLS) system; the J157-633 has all of the same features as the standard
J157 automatic refractometer
but operates at 633nm instead of the standard 589nm.
